Recruitment Experience Day (RED)

Welcome to your one-stop-shop event information page where we give you the lowdown on everything you need to know about this experience and how to be best prepared.

The job market continues to be very competitive and, regardless of the sector or organisation that you want to work for, this is a fantastic opportunity in which to practise key parts of the recruitment process.

Key information

Monday 24th April: Please look out for an introductory email from us at events@gradcore.co.uk.

Tuesday 25th April: Look out for an email from hello@assess.digital inviting you to our event platform where you will access your schedule on the day.

Friday 28th April: You will be attending one of the sessions at either 09:00-12:45 OR 13:15- 17:00.

Have your CV checked by an experienced graduate recruiter

Use the link here to upload your CV before midnight on Sunday 23rd April.

You will then receive detailed and personalised feedback following your attendance at the event on Tuesday 2nd May.

Date & Location

Your event will be held in the Portland Building. You must make your own way there.

On arrival, please report to the Hydra Suite – Room 214, where our team will be there to welcome you.

You will be required to check-in via iPads, after which you will then be able to your schedule.eve

What's involved

You will take part in the following sessions where you will receive very detailed and personalised feedback that will help you when applying for future roles. Please take time to familiarise yourself with what’s involved for each one and click here to see some of the key competencies that we will support you with on the day.

We have a diverse team of facilitators who are all experienced graduate recruiters from different industries. They are keen to share their top tips, and to help improve your understanding and confidence when it comes to applying for different roles. You will have lots of opportunities in which to ask them questions and learn from their experience.

The interview workshop

You will take part in a 30 minute workshop where we will share best practice and help you prepare for an interview. 

The interview

You will take part in a 1:1 interview, which will last 10-15 minutes.  This will give you an insight into the types of questions that an employer will ask. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

The group exercise

The group exercise is a collaborative task where you will work together as a group on a time-sensitive task. You will be presented with a scenario that requires you to make decisions and contribute your suggestions as a group.
